Court of Miracles is a band from the U.K. Jaki Whitren (lead vocals, trumpet) and John Cartwright (keybords, songwriter) record and perform with their two sons William Cartwright (bass) and Joby Baker (drums). They are joined on stage by Daniel Berrebi.

They call their music "Soul-Jazz" : all the groove of Soul, but with the added subtlety and improvisation of their Jazz influences. Their sixth and latest album "Miracle Style" is every bit as good as their stage performences - the golden voice of Jaki Whitren - the inspirational songs of John Cartwright.

	Jaki Whitren performed in public, on radio and television at the age of 14, and at 18 she was signed by CBS and introduced as the next " Streisand". At 19 she recorded her first album "raw but tender" (CBS). She toured extensively with leading CBS artists including John McLaughlin / Mahavishnu Orchestra. She turned down the Ike and Tina Turner European tour to devote herself to children and familly at the age of 21. In the 70's, she was lead singer on the album "I Robot" of the Alan Parsons Project.
		John Cartwright learned his trade with such Soul greats as Ben E. King, Joe Tex, Patti Labelle and Jimmy Ruffin, moving on to be a member of the Jess Roden Band, releasing five albums with Island Records. In 1980, they recorded their first album " Rythmn Hymn " (Elektra Asylum, USA), working with Amercin producer Phil Ramone and an "All Star" rythm section, Steve Gadd (drums), Marcus Miller (bass) et Dr. John (piano)…
